Fern Cline Clark

Fern Cline Clark, age 98, of Christian County, passed away on Friday, November 4, 2022, at Covington’s Convalescent Center of natural causes. Funeral Services will be at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, November 8, 2022, at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Baker officiating and burial to follow at Hamby Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, November 8, 2022, from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home. Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home has been entrusted by the family to handle the arrangements. 

Mrs. Clark was born in Christian County, KY, on December 19, 1923, the daughter of the late Ellis and Leah Ruth Underwood Cline. She was a homemaker and was the custodian/caretaker at New Palestine Baptist Church for 63 years. Fern was a member of New Palestine Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Durwood Clark in 2011; her son, Ronnie Adams; her son in Law, Don Overby; her brothers, Wayne Cline, John D. Cline, Ellis Cline Jr., Harold D. Cline; her sisters, Helen Simpson, Sue Keel and Sharon Greer.

Survivors include her son, Kendal Clark and his wife Laura of Christian County; her daughter Lorraine Overby of Christian County; seven grandchildren, several great grandchildren and multiple great-great grandchildren.

   In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her memory to New Palestine Baptist Church Keenagers Fund, 9997 Dawson Springs Road, Crofton, KY 42217.
