Dorothy D. Cannon

   Dorothy D. Cannon, age 91, of Hopkinsville, passed away on December 1, 2020, at Christian Health Center of natural causes. Private Services will be held with burial at Riverside Cemetery. Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

   Mrs. Cannon was born in Christian County, on October 17, 1929, the daughter of the late Lillie H. Deason and Dalton Deason. She was a Registered Nurse who went on to retire from the State of Kentucky Office of the Inspector General. She was the 1st graduating class of RN’s from Hopkinsville Community College in 1972. Her and her husband loved to golf. She was a charter member of Henderson Memorial Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Lyle Cannon.

   Survivors include her children, Joey (Vickie) Cannon of Hopkinsville; Patty (Jim) Grable of Hopkinsville; and Jim (Sandi) Cannon of Cookeville, TN; her brother, James Ronald Deason of Greenboro, GA, five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

   In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in her memory to Henderson Memorial Baptist Church at 501 Noel Dr. Hopkinsville, KY 42240.
