Delores Betty Pierson Bridges

Delores Betty Pierson Bridges, age 91, of Hopkinsville, passed away Thursday, January 28, 2021, at Christian Care Communities of natural causes. Funeral Services will be at 2:00 PM on Monday, February 1, 2021 at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home with burial to follow in Green Hill Memorial Garden. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM on Monday, February 1, 2021 at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home. Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Ms. Bridges was born in South Bend, IN on September 1, 1929, the daughter of the late Walter J. and Violet Pierson.  She was a flower designer at Arsha’sHouse of Flowers and a member of St. John United Methodist Church.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lacy Bridges; her brother, Richard Pierson; and her granddaughter, Brittany Waldrop. 

Survivors include her two sons, Gary Wetzel of San Francisco, CA; Michael Wetzel of Texas; her daughter, Penny (Don) Waldrop of Hopkinsville; her sister, Rochelle Fogohino of Zealand, MI; two grandchildren, Tiffany Palmer and Tyler Waldrop; and one great grandchild, Tyson Palmer.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in her memory to the American Cancer Society.
