David Lynn Wright

David Lynn Wright, age 63, of Hopkinsville, passed away on Tuesday, April 6, 2021, at Jennie Stuart Medical Center of natural causes. Funeral Services will be at 2:00 PM Sunday, April 11, 2021, at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home with Rev. David Banister, Randy Merriweather, and Curly Elmore officiating with burial to follow in Rosedale Cemetery. Visitation will be at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Saturday, April 10, 2021. Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home has been entrusted by the family to handle the arrangements. 

Mr. Wright was born in Hopkinsville, KY, on June 8, 1957, the son of the late Otho Eugene and Martha McGhee Wright. He was a farmer and co-owner of Christian County Livestock Market. He was a member of Pembroke United Methodist Church, a 4-H Leader Horse Club, President of the area 4-H Horse Council, and he helped start the Kentucky Junior Rodeo Association.

Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Donna Eskew Wright, of Hopkinsville; his daughter, Nicie Shemwell and her husband Chris of Elkton; his brother, James Eugene “J.E.” Wright and his wife Connie of Pembroke; his sister Dianne Wright of Pembroke; and his two granddaughters, Brylee Shemwell and Avaree Shemwell.
