Dana Michelle Latham Walters, age 48, of Hopkinsville, passed away on Monday, October 11, 2021, at Alive Hospice in Nashville after a battle with cancer. The family has chosen cremation with a Celebration of Life Service to be held at a later date. Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home has been entrusted by the family to handle the arrangements.
Mrs. Walters was born in Hopkinsville, KY, on August 16, 1973, the daughter of the late Jerry Wallace and Cynthia “Cindy” Poe Latham. She was a caseworker for Pennyroyal Center. Dana was a member of Edgewood Baptist Church. She was on the local Relay for Life Committee and a member of the Civitan Club. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her nephew, Michael Walters.
Survivors include her husband of 24 years, Corry Walters of Hopkinsville; her sister, Pamela “Pam” Latham Parker and her husband Todd of Hopkinsville; her sister-n-law, Kelly Hudson of Texas; her nephews, Alexander Latham, Chris and Zach Parker; her niece, Kelli White.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in her memory to the Poe Family Relay for Life at 654 Winchester Drive Hopkinsville, KY 42240, Attn: Bernida Belcher.
