C.A. Thomas, JR., age 79, of Hopkinsville passed away on April 4, 2020, at his home of natural causes. There will be a private graveside service held at a later date in Green Hill Memorial Gardens. Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Thomas was born in Hopkinsville, KY on June 16, 1940, the son of the late Claude “Pete” and Nola Lance Thomas. C.A. was a farmer, and had many jobs for Pepsi-Cola, including being a truck driver. He was a realtor and worked at the post office in Fairview, KY. He was a member of Highland Presbyterian Church where he was a former elder, and he was a singer for the SonShiners Quartet for years. He also drove for the Amish. In addition to his parents, preceding him in death is his granddaughter, Jennifer Paige Crossett.
Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Patricia Stricklin Thomas of Oak Grove, KY; his son, Kirk Anthony Thomas and his wife Audra of Oveido, FL; his two daughters, Christy Astin and her husband Mark of Raleigh, NC, and Sherry Thomas of Hopkinsville; his stepson, Joshua Brown and his wife Leslie of Louisville, KY; his two step daughters, Ashley Webster of Hopkinsville, KY, and Kylee Brown of Pembroke, KY; his two brothers, Jerry Thomas and his wife Bernie of Hopkinsville, KY, and Bill Thomas and his wife Petty of Georgia; his two sisters, DeeAnna McGhee of Hopkinsville, KY, and Sue Gallagher of Nashville, TN; his fifteen grandchildren; and his three great grandchildren.
