Charlotte Gail "Tutor" Orten

Charlotte Gail “Tutor” Orten, age 61, of Crofton, passed away on Thursday, September 23, 2021, at Baptist Health Deaconess in Madisonville of natural causes. Funeral Services will be at 1:00 PM Tuesday, September 28, 2021, at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home with burial to follow in Green Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday, September 27, 2021. Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home has been entrusted by the family to handle the arrangements. 

Mrs. Orten was born in Savannah, TN, on March 24, 1960, the daughter of the late Tom and Lucille Evans Martin. She worked for TGASK as a trimmer. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Orten in 2019; and her brother, James Martin.

Survivors include her son, Thomas Orten and his wife Ashley of Crofton; her daughter, Emily Orten Jones and her husband Terry of Crofton; her brother, Mark Martin and his wife Wanda of Hopkinsville; her sister, Wanda Wade of Hopkinsville; her five grandchildren, Alyssia Kern, Blake Turley, Chase Turley, Ayden Orten, Claude Kenneth Orten; and her five great grandchildren, Harper Kern, Lilly Turley, Colton Turley, Kaston Turley, and Leland Turley.
