Kenneth Morris

Kenneth Morris, age 70, of Lonnie Walker Highway in Herndon, KY, passed away at 9:51 PM on Sunday, April 8, 2018, at his residence of natural causes. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 AM on Thursday, April 12, 2018, at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home with Mr. Terry Alan Jones officiating and burial to follow in Flat Lick Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 until 8:00 PM on Wednesday, April 11, 2018, at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home.
   Kenneth was born in Christian County, on February 12, 1948, the son of the late Lloyd C. and Ophenia Hancock Morris. He was a farmer in South Christian and also retired from selling insurance for 30 years with American General Life Insurance Company. He was a member of Southside Church of Christ in Hopkinsville. He was in the United States National Guard. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son Christopher Don Blake in 2016 and his sister Christine Morris Pryor in 2011.
   Survivors include his wife of 38 years Edith Morris of Herndon, KY; his two daughters, Amanda K. Major and her husband Jeff of Crofton, KY, Karen M. Edwards and her husband Kevin of Hopkinsville, KY; his brother, Durwood Morris of Lafayette, KY; his six grandchildren, Tyler Lancaster, Justin Major, Kenton Lancaster, Jaxon Edwards, Rachel Major, and Addison Edwards.
   In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital and Pennyroyal Hospice.
