Charles Don McGowan

Charles “Don” McGowan, age 76, of Country Club Lane in Hopkinsville, KY, passed away Sunday, November 4, 2018, at Jennie Stuart Medical Center of natural causes. Funeral Services will be at 1:00 PM on Thursday, November 8, 2018, at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Dale Combs officiating and burial to follow in Flat Lick Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until the funeral hour at 1:00 PM on Thursday, November 8, 2018, at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home. Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Don was born in Caldwell County, on March 14, 1942, to the late Hugh and Grace Witherspoon McGowan. He worked and retired from Phelps Dodge as a foreman and was a member of Calvary Memorial Baptist Church. He is also preceded in death by his wife, Betty Tinsley McGowan in 2008, and his step son, Kenny Glisson in 2005.
Survivors include two sons, Steve McGowan and his wife Sherry of Hopkinsville, Todd McGowan and his wife April of Jacksonville, FL; his step daughter Pat Bradley of Murfreesboro, TN; six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
