Bonnie Haddock Shepherd Tracy, age 82, of Hopkinsville passed away peacefully with her family by her side at her daughter’s home on Saturday, January 28, 2023, after a three-month battle with ovarian cancer. The family has chosen cremation with a celebration of life service to be held at a later date. Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home has been entrusted by the family to handle the arrangements.

Mrs. Tracy was born in Hopkinsville, KY, on July 22, 1940, the daughter of the late James E. Haddock and Ruth Holmes Haddock Myers. Bonnie was a loving mother and sister. She was a bookkeeper for Bass Company in Hopkinsville, Crystal Jewelry Store in Nashville, and Bucks Clothing Store in Hopkinsville. She was a member of Belmont United Methodist Church in Nashville and a member of the Pennyrile Area Community Band. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Tracy; and her sister, Sue Pugh.

Survivors include her son, Stephen Shepherd of Hopkinsville; her daughter, Shari (Mark) Jones of Hopkinsville; her two sisters, Janice (Joe) Allen of Cadiz, and Tina (Jackie) Davis of Cerulean; her two grandchildren, Leslie (Drew) Charters of West Lafayette, IN, Derek (Courtney) Adams of Nolensville, TN; her five great-grandchildren, Chloe and Claire Charters, Harvey, Sully, and Ginny Adams; and her one grand dog, Buddy.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Pennyroyal Hospice, Christian County Animal Shelter, Humane Society, or the Pennyrile Area Community Band 506 Henderson Dr, Hopkinsville, KY 42240.
