Blanche Faulkner Cato, age 98, of Hopkinsville passed at 10:10 PM on Thursday, March 7, 2019, at Bradford Heights Health and Rehab of natural causes. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 AM on Monday, March 11, 2019, at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home with Dr. Tim Jernigan officiating and burial to follow in Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM on Sunday, March 10, 2019, at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home.
Blanche was born in Clarksville, TN, on May 26, 1920, to the late J.E. and Emma Shannon Faulkner. She worked for 44 years at Christian County Livestock Market and was a homemaker. She was a member of First Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Steger Cato in 2007; her three brothers, Dayton Faulkner, James William Faulkner, Phillip Faulkner; and her two sisters, Lorene Besore and Ruth Pendleton.
Survivors include her son, Timothy S. “Tim” Cato and his wife Dianne of Hopkinsville; one sister, Patty Primm and her husband William of Chattanooga, TN; two grandsons, Chadwick Steger “Chad” Cato and his wife Cassi of Hopkinsville, Timothy Jarrod Cato of Hopkinsville; and one great grandson Grady Monroe Cato.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in her honor to First Baptist Church.
