Betty Mae Simdon

Betty Mae Simdon, age 90, of Hopkinsville, passed away on Friday, June 11, 2021, at her residence of natural causes. Graveside Services will be at 11:00 AM Tuesday, June 15, 2021, at Green Hill Memorial Gardens with burial to follow. Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home has been entrusted by the family to handle the arrangements. 

Mrs. Simdon was born in Cambridge, WI, on June 29, 1930, the daughter of the late Ted and Rose VanSant Bothum. Betty was a homemaker and of the Lutheran Faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard “Howie” Roger Simdon in 2003; her son. James “Jimmy” Simdon; her grandson, Brian Elgin.

Survivors include her son, Allen “Butch” Simdon of Hopkinsville; her daughters, Jeanne Hancock and her husband Butch of Hopkinsville, and Diane Woolf and her husband Jerry of Hopkinsville; her brother, David Bothum of Woodstock, IL; nine grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Christian County Humane Society at P.O. Box 1233, Hopkinsville, KY 42241.
