Betty Sue Meacham, age 73, of Hopkinsville, passed away on March 13, 2020, at her home of natural causes. Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Wednesday, March 18, 2020, at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home with Rev. Delaino Blazer officiating and burial to follow at New Ebeneezer Cemetery. Visitation is going to be from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Tuesday, March 17, 2020, at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home.
Mrs. Meacham was born in Christian County, KY on May 19, 1946, the daughter of the late Louis A. Tucker and Rose Martin Tucker Farmer. Betty was a Child Care Provider and a Church member of Hopkinsville Foursquare. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Dorris Gale Meacham; her sons, Charles “Charlie” Scott, and Timothy Scott; her sister Dazel Harris; and her great grandchild, Jordan Robinson; and her step-father, Carter Farmer
Survivors include her son, Jeffrey Meacham of Hopkinsville; her two daughters, Pamela Scott of Hopkinsville, and Kim Bivins of Hopkinsville; her brother, George Tucker of Linton, IN; her two sisters, Rose Myers of Okeechobee, FL, and Ann Whitford of Hopkinsville; her five grandchildren, Melinda Robinson, Timothy Scott Jr., Trey Bivins, Devon Scott, Makenna Ortega; her two great grandchildren, Sherissa Robinson, and Lucas Robinson.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in her honor to the American Cancer Society at 250 Williams St. NW, Atlanta, GA 30303.
