   Betty “Louise” Boren Cherry, age 84, of LaFayette, KY, passed away Wednesday, October 31, 2018, at Skyline Medical Center from natural causes. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 AM on Friday, November 9, 2018, at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home with Bro. Darrell Crawford officiating and burial to following in Powell Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM on Friday, November 9, 2018, at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home.
   Mrs. Cherry was born, in LaFayette, KY on September 28, 1934, to the late James Edward and Mary Knight Boren. She was a homemaker. Betty was a member of LaFayette Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Samuel “Slick” Cherry in 2017; her daughter, Donna Kay Cherry Mason in 2017; and one brother, James Howard Boren.
Survivors include his sons, Sam “Bucker” Cherry and his wife, Betty of Herndon, KY, Kenneth Cherry of Cadiz, KY, Steve Cherry of LaFayette, KY, and stepson Jerry Linton of Perry, FL; two sisters, Mary Ann Seiber and Dorothy Stewart both of Hopkinsville; fifteen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
