Bervie “Jewell” Crick, age 87, of Witty Lane, in Hopkinsville, KY, passed away at 5:17PM on Saturday, June 16, 2018, at his home of natural causes. Funeral Services will be at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, June 19, 2018, at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home with burial to follow in Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00AM until the funeral hour at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, June 19, 2018, at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home.
Mr. Crick was born in Greenville, KY on December 18, 1930, to the Eurie Oscar and Allie Pearl Wells Crick. Jewell was a veteran in the US Army. He was retired from the State Highway Department. He was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his first wife, Lola Bell McGar Crick; his second wife, Shelby Jean Evans Crick; his brothers, William Lee Irvie Crick and Clifford Crick; his sisters, Lydia McIntosh and Lizzie Deason.
Survivors include his step daughters, Denita Daniels and her husband, Robert of Hopkinsville, and Jeana Robinson of Hopkinsville; three step grandchildren, Mandy Childers, Shelby N. Leonard, and Patricia Darlene Daniels; six step great grandchildren, Ian Childers, Ethan Vincent, Chris Jones, Kevin Robinson, Paegan Leonard, and Aria Vincent; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
