Barbara Long

Barbara A. Long, age 86, of Hopkinsville, passed away on Saturday, January 1, 2022, at her home of natural causes. Funeral Services will be at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, January 5, 2022, at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home with Rev. David Harrison and Mike Stokes officiating and burial to follow in Green Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 5, 2022, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home has been entrusted by the family to handle the arrangements. 

Mrs. Long was born in St. Charles, KY, on January 1, 1936, the daughter of the late Kenneth and Tommie Huddleston Adams. She was retired from Western State Hospital after 27 years as a LPN. Barbara was a member of Concord Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Denzil “Jack” Long; her son, Mike McClure; her granddaughter, Susan Burke her grandson, Caleb McClure.

Survivors include her daughter, Cindy Burke and her husband Gerald of Hopkinsville’ her brother, Barry Adams and his wife Sue of Hopkinsville; her sister, Janice Adams Gee of Hopkinsville; three grandchildren, Brian McClure, Brandon Burke and Ezekial McClure; three great grandchildren; and her special friends, Bridget Reliford, Sue McGraw, Tina Leavell, Debbie Riddle and Emma Moss.

   In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in her memory to Pennyroyal Hospice 220 Burley Avenue Hopkinsville, KY 42240 or Concord Baptist Church.
