Barbara L. Gilford Kenady

Barbara L. Gilford Kenady, age 79, of Hopkinsville passed away Monday, January 23, 2023, at her home of natural causes. The family has chosen cremation with a celebration of life to be held at a later date. Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home has been entrusted by the family to handle the arrangements.

Ms. Kenady was born in Christian County, KY, on April 2, 1943, the daughter of the late Charlie and Ethel Jones Gilford. Barbara was a loving mother, sister and a business owner. She was a member of First Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Gary Lynn Watts; her brothers, Johnny Gilford, Jim Gilford, Richard Gilford, Rooster Gilford, E.G. Gilford; and her sisters, Jennie McDaniel, Shirley McCord, Emma Witty, and Mary Alligood.

Survivors include her sons, Eddie Watts of Hampton, Virginia, Jeffery Studdard of Hampton, Virginia; her daughter, Pauletta Lee Watts of Hammonton, New Jersey; her sister Gail Chilton of Hopkinsville, Kentucky; her five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
