Barbara Jean Gamblin

Jean Gamblin, age 78, of Christian County, passed away on Friday, May 7, 2021, at Continued Care in Madisonville of natural causes. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 AM Wednesday, May 12, 2021, at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home with Kevin Lee officiating and burial to follow in Green Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Tuesday, May 11, 2021. Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home has been entrusted by the family to handle the arrangements. 

Ms. Gamblin was born in Trigg County, KY, on July 21, 1942, the daughter of the late Morris and Barbara Wilson Merrick. Jean was a homemaker. She was a member of New York Fellowship Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Milton Gamblin and her sister, Juanita Crisp.

Survivors include her sons, Tim Gamblin of Todd County, KY and Daniel Gamblin of Christian County, KY; her brothers, Jimmy Merrick of Cadiz, KY and Ryan Merrick of Cadiz, KY; three grandchildren, Dylan Jade Gamblin, Chucky Gamblin, and Alana Gamblin.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her memory to New Work Fellowship Church at 5050 Canton Pike, Hopkinsville, KY 42240.
