Arthur Moody Hancock, age 94, of Christian County, KY, passed away at 11:32 AM on Saturday, December 7, 2019, at Bradford Heights Nursing and Rehab Center of natural causes. Funeral services with Military Honors will be at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, December 11, 2019 with Rev. Jesse Brown officiating, and burial to follow at Sinking Fork Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Tuesday, December 10, 2019, at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home. Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Hancock was born in Lafayette, KY on December 4, 1925, son of the late Arthur Bascom and Bessie Campbell Hancock. Moody worked at International Shoe Company for 36 years while also owning and operating his farm. Mr. Hancock was a member of Casky Baptist Church and a former longtime member of Sinking Fork Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife of 52 years, Mary Alice Hill Hancock; his brothers, Sherwood Hancock, Joe Hancock, Effrie Hancock, and Tom Hancock and his sister Helen Jones McKay.

Survivors include his wife of 16 years, Velma Campbell Hancock; his children: Lisa H. Smiley of Christian County, Carl Ray Hancock and his wife Cindy of Hopkinsville, KY, Roger Moody Hancock and his wife Julie of Knoxville, TN, Carlene Scillian and her husband Bill of Paducah, KY, Dan Hilton Hancock and his wife Debbie of Hopkinsville, Beth Marie Carpenter and her husband Buzz of Christian County; his eleven grandchildren; Tiffany Clark, Daniel Hancock, Kellye Howell, Sydney Sims, Shelby Scillian, Luke Carpenter, Zach Hancock, Elle Hancock, Rachel Hancock, Nick Hancock, and Landan Hancock; four great grandchildren; Madalyn Carpenter, Colton Howell, Hayden Clark, and Max Clark; and his brothers, Dalton Hancock and his wife Grace of Cadiz, KY, and Billy Ray Hancock and his wife Linda of Hopkinsville, KY.

Survivors also include his step-children, Donnie Campbell of Hopkinsville, Becky Grace and her husband Kent of Hopkinsville, Kenny Campbell and his wife Beth of Hopkinsville, Keith Campbell and his wife Roma of Allegre, KY, Greg Campbell and his wife Cindy of Pembroke; and his several step grandchildren and step great grandchildren.
