"The Smartest. The Strongest. The Funniest. Our Boppa"
Allan Marley Lee, AKA Boppa, died on April 20, 2021, at the age of 97. Boppa was a proud Navy Veteran, who after his time in service, drove for Thomas Industries for 30 + years. During Boppa's long life, he enjoyed golfing, traveling to California and Canada, bowling and drinking his boxed wine. He also enjoyed making sure all the little birds and squirrels were fed no matter where he was. Many in the community knew him as Santa Clause, as he dressed up for events during the holidays to bring happiness and cheer to all. However, the deed he took most pleasure in was being stubborn, giving people a hard time in a playful way, while making all those around him laugh. He never hesitated to share his life lessons and philosophies, which will be carried on by everyone he taught, guided, and touched in such a significant way. The most extraordinary role he played during his life was being the earthly rock for his family. Boppa cherished his family with all his might, always ensuring everyone was happy and taken care of. He referred to his tribe as "Boppa's dumbasses". His dumbasses he is survived by are daughters: Sharon Lee Willis and Diane Lee; son: Mark Lee; grandchildren: Clint Willis, Shanna Lee, Leslie Harrison, Tiffanie Lee Witt and Shawn Cohoon; great grandchildren: Trinity, John Hunter, Aly, Deacon, Lydia Grace, Collins, Grace and Jackson.
Per Boppa's wishes, he requested to be cremated with no service. Instead, he insisted all his family and friends celebrate his life with food and drinks in memory of him. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Shriner's Hospital for Children.
"As is a tale, so is a life: Not how long it is, but how good it is, is what matters" - Seneca
Boppa you made all our lives completely joyous. We will miss you until we have again.
