Alice Jeannette "Smith" Stewart

Alice Jeannette “Smith” Stewart, age 92, of Hopkinsville, passed away on Friday, July 10, 2020, at her residence of natural causes. Graveside Services will be at 10:00 AM on Thursday, July 16, 2020, in Green Hill Memorial Gardens with Rev. Janet Carden officiating with burial to follow. Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
   
   Alice was born on January 27, 1928, in Uniondale, IN, to the late James Jacob Smith and Karah Stine Smith. She worked for Sabel Metal Company for many years and was a member of St. John’s United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, preceding her in death is her husband Raymond George Stewart in 1965, and her son, Eric Michael Stewart in 2001.

   Survivors include her two sons, Samuel George Stewart and his wife Barbara of San Jose, CA, David Ray Stewart and his wife Karen of Colonial Heights, VA; her two daughters, Elaine Stewart Seeley of Hopkinsville, Laura Gail Ghaffari and her husband Qumarss of McLean, VA; her seven grandchildren and her three great grandchildren.
   
   In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in her honor to the Pennyroyal Hospice at 220 Burley Ave. Hopkinsville, KY, 42240.
