Roy Edward Bolinger age 92, of Pembroke passed away 1:00 AM Monday, September 4, 2017 at his home residence of natural causes. Funeral Services will be 7:00 PM Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at Pembroke Baptist Church with Rev. Jonathan Arvin and Rev. Andy Hayley officiating. Burial will be in Rosedale Cemetery at 11:00 AM on Thursday, September 7, 2017. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM, Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at Pembroke Baptist Church.
Mr. Bolinger was born August 9, 1925 in Union County, TN; the son of the late Herman Benjamin and Sally Mae Wolfe Bolinger. Roy was a farmer and veteran in the US Army during WWII. Roy was a mail carrier for the US Post Office in Pembroke from 1956-1984. He was a member of Pembroke Baptist Church for over 65 years where he was a deacon. He was preceded in death by his brother, Eugene Bolinger and his sister, Frances Smith.
Survivors include his wife of 69 years, Trula Bolinger of Pembroke; his sons, Danny Bolinger and his wife, Sarah of Pembroke, David Bolinger and his wife, Susan of Pembroke, and Steve Bolinger and his wife, Mona of Pembroke; his daughter, Janice Arvin and her husband, Paul of Pembroke; his sister, Anna Mae Cole of Pembroke; thirteen grandchildren and twenty-three great grandchildren.
