Marie Chandler

Marie Chandler, age 92, of Seminole Drive, passed away at 10:50 PM on Thursday, February 1, 2018, at Bradford Heights Health & Rehab of natural causes. Funeral Mass will be at 1:00 PM on Friday, February 16, 2018, at Saints Peter & Paul Catholic Church with Father Richard Meredith officiating and burial to follow in Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:30 AM until 12:30 PM with a Rosary Service to follow the visitation at 12:30 PM on Friday, February 16, 2018, at Saints Peter & Paul Catholic Church. Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Ms. Chandler was born in Gent, Belgium, on July 15, 1925, to the late Achiel and Palmyre Maria Buysse Cattoir. She retired as a clerk from Walmart. She was a member of Saints Peter & Paul Catholic Church, a member of the VFW-Auxiliary, and a big volunteer at the Senior Citizen’s Center. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband John Leo Chandler, JR. in 1996, and her brother Arsene Cattoir.
Survivors included several nieces and nephews, and several great and great great nieces and nephews, her church family and many friends.
