Lonnie Wayne Poe

Lonnie Wayne Poe, age 68 of Hopkinsville, KY passed away 7:05 PM October 8, 2017 at his residence of natural causes. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home with Lavern Hull officiating. Burial will follow with Military Honors at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home.
Mr. Poe was born November 19, 1948 in Honey Grove, KY the son of the late Edger Allen and Charlie Pearl Hall Poe. He was a retired security guard from Jennie Stuart Medical Center after 23 years and was a Vietnam War Veteran of the US Navy where he served on the USS Enterprise.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Nancy Poe of Hopkinsville; one son, Alan Poe and his wife, Rita of Hopkinsville; one daughter, Katrina Poe-Cardwell and her husband, Ray of Crofton; one brother, Thomas Poe and his wife, Kitty of Columbus, GA; two sisters, Mary Nell Davis of Owensboro, KY and Jean Downey and her husband, Jerry of Hopkinsville; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
