John D. Cline, age, 85 of Dawson Springs Road, Crofton passed away Wednesday, February 15, 2017, at his home of natural causes. Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM Friday, February 17, 2017 at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home with Rev. Mike McKinney officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 12:00 Noon until 1:00PM on Friday, February 17, 2017 at Maddux- Fuqua- Hinton Funeral Home.
Mr. Cline was born March 5, 1931, in Christian County, KY, the son of the late William Ellis and Leah Ruth Underwood Cline. He was a service/repair technician for Cayce Yost for over 36 years. John was a veteran in the US Navy. He was a member of New Palestine Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Jean Chapman Cline in 2011; his brothers, Herald Cline, Wayne Cline and William Cline Jr; his sisters, Sue Keel, Sherry Greer, and Helen Simpson.
Survivors include his son, Robert Hargrove and his wife, Sherry of Brandon, FL; his daughter, Penny Combs and her husband, Barry of Christian County; his sister, Fern Clark of Crofton; his grandchildren, Heather Winkler, Paul Flowers, and Clay Mansfield; his great-grandchildren, Zackary and Gavin Flowers, Morgan, William, Kobe, Madison Winkler, and Maebi Mansfield; his great-great grandson, Hayden Combs.
