Frances Ellen Blackshire

Frances Ellen Clemens Blackshire, age 65, of Sivley Road passed away June 20, 2017 at Jennie Stuart Medical Center of natural causes. Funeral services will be 4:00 PM Saturday, June 24, 2017 at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home with Rev. Ken Shaver officiating. Burial will be 10:00 AM Monday, June 26, 2017 at Kentucky Veteran Cemetery West. Visitation will be 3:00 PM until the service hour Saturday, June 24, 2017 at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home.
Mrs. Blackshire was born February 12, 1952 in Charleston, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Harold Harvey and Marjorie Raye Williams Clemens. Frances retired in 1990 as a civilian secretary for the US Army. She was a member of Lester Baptist Church in Lester, West Virginia; she attended Greater Cumberland Baptist Church in Hopkinsville, KY.
Survivors include her husband of 42 years, Roger Lee Blackshire of Hopkinsville, KY; her daughters, Patricia Ellen Ashwell and her husband, Jeffrey of Fayetteville, WV, Tracy Ann Leak and her husband, Andy of Villa Ridge, MO, and Tonya Lee Sawyers and her husband, Albert of Beaufort, MO; three grandchildren, AnnaMarie Austin Leak, Joseph Andrew Otis Leak, and Jenna Renee Sawyers.
