Billy Joe Oliver Sr

Billy Joe Oliver, Sr., age 68, of Hopkinsville, KY, passed away Friday, March 15, 2024, at Jennie Stuart Medical Center of natural causes. The family has chosen cremation with a celebration of life to be held at a later date. Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home has been entrusted by the family with the care of their loved one.

Mr. Oliver was born on August 15, 1955, in Hopkinsville, KY, the son of the late John Amos and Erma Louise Delk Oliver. Billy worked at Ben’s Tire and Wheel as a tire retreader. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Melvin Oliver; and his sisters, Nancy Oliver and Betty Oliver.

Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Wanda Faye Teague Oliver of Hopkinsville, KY; his son, Billy Joe Oliver, Jr. of Hopkinsville, KY; his daughters, April Simpson (James) of Hopkinsville, KY, Penny Jenkins (Nick) of Roaring Springs, KY; his brother, Raymond Oliver of Hopkinsville, KY; his sisters, Linda Oliver of Hopkinsville, KY, Lisa Fuston of Clarksville, TN; his grandchildren, Bridget Boyd, Kelsey Oliver, Allison Simpson, Brittany Simpson, and Preston Jenkins; and his great-grandchildren, Caleb Dunning and Ashlynn Jahnke.
