Alexander Rogers “Alex” Ware, age 91 of Trenton, KY passed away May 15, 2017 at Glasgow State Nursing Facility of natural causes. Graveside services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at Edgewood Cemetery. There will be no public visitation. Maddux Funeral Home in Pembroke is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Ware was born August 28, 1925 in Empire, AL the son of the late Edward Rogers and Estell Thomas Ware. He worked for the US Postal Service for 35 years where he was a rural mail carrier and a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church. He was a World War II United States Navy Veteran where he served on a destroyer. He was preceded in death by his wife, Matie Smith Ware in 2015.
Survivors include one daughter, Allie Ware Moore and her husband, Jerry of Bowling Green, KY; one sister, Jane Webster of Houston, TX; two granddaughters, Michelle May Oliver and her husband, James of Louisville, and Danielle May Jenkins and her husband, Larry of Monterey, CA; two great granddaughters, Christiana Jenkins and Kelsey Jenkins.
